John Shaddock has been training individuals since 1988. He has trained people and taught boxing fitness in a variety of gyms and fitness centers. Now John owns Shaddock MMA Fitness (and has since 2008) and still trains individuals either in groups or individually. He will even train you in your home. John trains people through the martial arts, so not only will you get fit, but you'll learn self defense at the same time. He trains people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. The style of training he does works for everyone from the deconditioned athlete to the seasoned combat athlete. With his style, everyone is an athelete.

Shaddock's Hand-to-hand Instruction Effective Life-saving Defense. This is a combination of John's years of training in Boxing, Wrestling, Jiujitsu, Aikido, Jeet Kune Do, and Shorin Ryu. The seminars include a section on striking, a section on gun and knife disarmament, and a section on ground fighting and rape prevention. Our kids Mixed Martial Arts Class combines boxing, wrestling, jiujitsu, and kickboxing. No belts, no bowing just pure self defense and fitness. The class is always fun, as the class is taught with games and fun skill drills.

Fight Team

Fight Team

John not only trains individuals to fight, but he also specializes in team fighting. John was captain of the first ever 5 on 5 team from the USA. Also he helped coach the first UK team to fight in the TFC (Teams Fighting Championship). 5 on 5 fighting is just as it sounds: 10 men in a 40 x 40 ring fighting out until the last team is standing. Shaddock is hoping to one day take a team from Maryland to compete in the TFC and take home the title.
