Signs You or Your Sick Child Should Stay Home
Please stay home from class if you or your child is experiencing any of the following:
-
Fever or chills (within the last 24 hours)
-
Persistent coughing or congestion
-
Sore throat
-
Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
-
Headache combined with fatigue or body aches
-
Green or yellow nasal discharge
-
Needing medication to “push through” class
-
Feeling unusually tired, weak, or not acting like yourself
Sharing the Mats, Not the Germs
MMA training involves close contact, shared equipment, and lots of movement. Even mild symptoms can spread quickly on the mats. One person attending sick can unintentionally sideline classmates, families, and instructors for days.
A Healthy Gym Is a Happy Gym
Especially during the colder months and holiday season, illnesses travel fast. No one wants to bring home more than memories and skills from training. Taking a short break when sick helps keep classes running and everyone training consistently.
Help Us Protect Our Team
We know it’s disappointing to miss a class, but rest is part of training smart. Staying home when sick helps protect fellow students, our coaches, and Coach John Shaddock — and allows Shaddock MMA to remain a safe, healthy place to train.
